Hi,
Thanks for a quick response.
I done as you suggested. After that, I went and tried again to build scintilla, but I continue to get the same errors as posted above.
Not sure what else to do.
Cheers

Browse All TopicsHey guys,
I'm trying to build Scintilla, I have download the files from the website, extracted it, opened the read me file which tells me too make the file...
*** Windows version ***
A C++ compiler is required. Visual Studio .NET 2003 is the development system
used for most development although Mingw32 3.1 and Borland C++ are also
supported.
For older versions of Borland make such as version 5.02, add the -l option.
To build Scintilla, make in the scintilla/win32 directory
cd scintilla\win32
GCC: mingw32-make
VS .NET: nmake -f scintilla.mak
VC++ 6: nmake -f scintilla_vc6.mak
Borland: make -fscintilla.mak
cd ..\..
I opened the Visual Studio Command Prompt, navigated to the scintilla/win32 directory as specified. I entered...
nmake -f scintilla.mak
...but I just get errors, I can't seem to build it.
The errors I get are...

I had a look for BaseTsd.h on the drive, but it doesn't exist.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have search the drive for that file, it doesn't exist.
I have tried running the bat file again, I get the same response as the previous times I ran it...

Tried making it again, same errors.
That's odd, it should definitely be there: http://search.microsoft.co
You could try to update your Platform SDK, just in case that file was accidentially removed. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/d
Uh oh, that might be the problem. In that case, take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/

Make sure to execute the 'vcvars32.bat' from VC++'s 'bin' directory before calling 'nmake', this one is needed to set up your environment variables.
