Browse All TopicsI developed a windows dll with portable C++ code (STL and own classes only) and need to build the dll at a AIX with gnu compiler. I don't know the version (neither AIX nor gcc) but it is not *very* old (they told me). I want to have some kind of template makefile that I could edit at my Windows platform, adding my sources and dependencies and where I have a good chance that it runs on the target system without major problems. It is about 10 cpp files and headers all in the same folder. The output could be put to the same folder but it is not a problem for me to change the target folder. The things I don't know (anymore) in UNIX is
- how to make a dll
- how to export/import functions
- how to call gcc with linking a dll
- how to define all that in a makefile.
- what are the equivalent things to LoadLibrary and GetProcessAddress in UNIX
I have pretty good knowhow in makefiles but less in tools like makemake. As told my main problem is that teh target machine is not available now and that I should have a chance to get it work within a short time after I got access at that machine. I surely can ask for specfic environment things and have no problems in C++ compiler issues but I shouldn't get a "wrong syntax" error when invoking gcc with my makefile (assumed that gcc was properly installed).
Regards, Alex
