The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Unsigned Short to Character Array

Hi all,
         In my project I need to store the value of an unsigned  short in a character array in a specific format....
As an example

char header[10];
unsigned short unitID=1234;    //this number is actually 1234 (Hex). In my actual program I am receiving this data from a Serial device. I have declared it here to get my point explained.... Since it will be received by a serial device so I cant declare it as 0x1234

Now I need to store the value of 1234 in 2 bytes i.e header[0] and header[1] as follows....
header[0] will contain 0001 0010   //i.e 0x12
header[1] will get 0011 0100         //i.e 0x34
