Browse All TopicsI am new so bear with me. I want to create a dll that will login to a database.(user enters name and password) then verifies that to the data base). I want to have the user login at the start of the application then pass this connection to other DLL's when called. (I want to avoid logging in again with the different apps).

As long as you're using .NET, this shouldn't be too difficult. You can create a SqlConnection (for SQL server) or OleDBConnection (for a non-MS database) object and pass it to the DLL.
your menu app would look something like:
SqlConnection cn = new SqlConnection ("<your connection string>");
cn.Open ();
myDllMethod (cn);
your DLL method would look something like:
public static void myDllMethod (SqlConnection cn)
{
