The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

C# XML posted to an .aspx page, How to retreive using REQUEST

Asked by mmkhan76 in C# Programming Language

Tags: peoplesoft

Hi,
Here are two scenerios. One with .aspx Page and the Other with .asmx(web service)
Let me start with .aspx Page First.
I am posting an SOAP XML Doc from my Peoplesoft page to my .aspx page("sample.aspx").
In my "sample.aspx"  How do I get the posted XML. How do I retreive the Posted XML.

I am using the following code in my "sample.aspx" and it works fine, but it has a set location for my XML File.
I donot want to give the Location, it will be comming in as a Request from Peoplesoft.

XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument();
doc.Load("http://localhost/sampleproject/sample.xml");
XmlElement firstCD =(XmlElement) doc.DocumentElement.FirstChild;
XmlElement artist  = (XmlElement) firstCD.GetElementsByTagName("artist")[0];
XmlElement title   = (XmlElement) firstCD.GetElementsByTagName("title")[0];
XmlElement jaber   =  (XmlElement) firstCD.GetElementsByTagName("name")[0];
Response.Write (artist.InnerText);
Response.Write (title.InnerText);
Response.Write (name.InnerText);

The XML from peoplesoft looks like this
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
  <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <Synchronize xmlns="http://www.tempuri.org/Synchronize">
      <fieldArray>
        <artist>0</artist>
        <title>000</title>
        <name>A</name>
      </fieldArray>
    </Synchronize>
  </SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

This above works fine, But the only thing is I cannot give the location of the XML file.
It will be comming as an Request.
How do I get that POSTED XML to this page using Request Object or whatever object....
The code for the aspx page is in C#.

2nd SCENERIO USING WEB SERVICE
I am posting the same SOAP XML Doc from my Peoplesoft page to my .asmx("sample.asmx").
In my "sample.asmx"  How do I get the posted XML. How do I retreive the Posted XML same as above
agian I am using C#

Your help is appreciated
Thanks
