Sniffing packets for local machine only

I would like to have a monitor that peeks at all packets sent to and from the local machine.  I have seen several examples on how to sniff packets going over the network.  I'm not interested in other packets on the network unrelated to the local machine.  Is there a way to just get the packets related to this machine?

Is there another option other than SIO_RCVALL?
