The primary form shouldn't be affected by the modal second form... are you currently having a problem?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have an application that I need to open a second form as application modal. However I want the primary form to respond to events (fired by an ActiveX control via the com interop) and update it's display even though I do not want the user to be able to touch it until they close the second form. How do I do this? Just create an instance of the modal form and call ShowDialog?

Use a timer in the Primary form and write the code to update the primary form in the Timer_tick event. Then you can call the Secondry Form with ShowDialog.
