You might want to create a virtual directory, and get the path this way:

how about putting filUpload.PostedFile.FileN ame in the watch when debugging and see what is it's value. maybe it's only the filename without the path in which case it will default to the application's working directory which in your case is C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WebAppl ication7\
