Turns out it has nothing to do with XP vs 2003. Rather, it has to do with whether .net is installed. I'm going to close this question and open a new one with the question posed more "appropriately". Thanks for the info.

axWebBrowser and the DocumentComplete event on XP
Strange problem. I'm using the axWebBrowser control in one of my apps and it works great on my Development Machine (Windows Server 2003). The strange thing is that when I move the app onto other computers (mostly XP), it works fine, except that the events (DocumentComplete) for example just don't fire. The document downloads, it says "Done" down in the status bar, but the DocumentComplete event never fires and so the app just doesn't work right.
Any ideas about what might be going on here?

hi,
I would be really able to answer ur question but I'm developing with XP SP 2 with .NET 1.1 and i have been using axWebBrowser and the DocumentComplete Event for sometime yet i dont encounter that problem. So it means it is supposed to work with XP and that must have something to do with some settings of some sort. But it does work for my machine.just for info sake...
