I think that's an alternative way to go, however I had saw another product (competitor) was able to do real time encoding, so I'm wonder how to do it...
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsAny idea how to use Windows Media Encoder via programming to encode a media file (like .avi) to different format like (.wmv) when I clicked on a Start button?
Please note I may DON'T WANT to encode the whole file, so that's why my requirement is encode only when the Start button is clicked, and stop encoding when Stop button is clicked. So, it means Real Time Encoding.
Any samples or links are appreciated. Many thanks!

A work around that will seem to appear like its real time encoding,
Run the original file and on stop measure the duration the video has run. Covert the whole file and use a media splitter to split the file to the duration measured.
