I need to change this code to have a dynamic mutlidimentional array:
the two sizes will be the "ThisRepeater.Items.Count" and the amount of access to this loop "if (ctrl is textbox)".
private void AddRepeaterRow(Repeater ThisRepeater, int Count)
{
int repeaterCount = 0;
foreach (RepeaterItem itm in ThisRepeater.Items)
{
string value = null;
if (itm.Visible && itm is RepeaterItem)
{
//loop through repeater item controls
foreach (Control ctrl in itm.Controls)
{
//get values from the appropriate controls
if (ctrl is TextBox)
value = (ctrl as TextBox).Text;
else if (ctrl is DropDownList)
value = (ctrl as DropDownList).Text;
else if (ctrl is RadioButton)
value = (ctrl as RadioButton).Checked ? "Yes" : "No";
else if (ctrl is RadioButtonList)
value = (ctrl as RadioButtonList).SelectedValue;
Session[ctrl.ClientID] = value;
}
repeaterCount++;
}
}
}
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This Code that I have created doesn't have dyanmic initiliazation in the multidimentional array use static dimentions:
private void AddRepeaterRow(Repeater ThisRepeater, int Count)
{
int repeaterCount = 0;
int ColumnsNumber = 10;
int rows = 0;
string[,] savingresult = new string[ThisRepeater.Items.Count, ColumnsNumber];
foreach (RepeaterItem itm in ThisRepeater.Items)
{
string value = null;
if (itm.Visible && itm is RepeaterItem)
{ int Columns = 0 ;
//loop through repeater item controls
foreach (Control ctrl in itm.Controls)
{
//get values from the appropriate controls
if (ctrl is TextBox)
{
value = (ctrl as TextBox).Text;
savingresult[rows, Columns] = value;
Columns++;
}
else if (ctrl is DropDownList)
value = (ctrl as DropDownList).Text;
else if (ctrl is RadioButton)
value = (ctrl as RadioButton).Checked ? "Yes" : "No";
else if (ctrl is RadioButtonList)
value = (ctrl as RadioButtonList).SelectedValue;
Session[ctrl.ClientID] = value;
}
repeaterCount++;
}
rows++;
}
}
Thanks
