Setting up a home network

Hi there,

I have a wireless network at home and there are 2 computers. one is a desktop and the other is laptop. the laptop is a work laptop.

this is what i am trying to do. i have sybase database server running on the laptop and i want to access the database which is hosted on the laptop from my desktop.

my desktop ip address is 10.211.55.4 and my laptop ip address is 192.168.0.103.  i can ping from one computer to another.  when i use visual studio using server explorer and providing the ip address of the laptop, it doesnt recognise it.

any ideas of how i can access the database remotely?  thanksStart Free Trial
