How do I implement an efficient search for an unorder interger Array that could hold 1000, 000 elememt and one interger value appear twice

I have an array with integers between 1 and 1000,000. One integer is will appear twice. I need to write a function that finds the duplicate integer and returns it.

Therefore it could be 450 entered in the array twice and your function should return it.

The code you write should be able to work for an array that looks like {721, 662, 862, 278915, 9, 1, 99, 450, 321000, .,., } so the array is unsorted.

How I implement this the most efficient way?? Do I need to use ArrayList collection class of C#.NET.

Please help me.
