problem while using username and password authentication

i am developing a webform containing username and password textboxes, and a hyperlink for signup for new users. now inorder to check username and password from sqlserver i have used login control in asp.net and used forms authentication. now the prob is it checks for username and password and loads the correspoding page but the hyperlik is not redirecting to the sign up page.please help me to wite a code which includes both authentication of username and password and also another page to sign up.i am new to programming so please provide detail code.
