Browse All TopicsI just came out from a meeting with a local user group. This group is using some systems built with Java, MySQL, and PHP. As we were discussing a new system the group wants, I was asked why I recommended C# and ASP.NET to be used for building the new system. The group's leader, a Java guru, wanted to hear some gritty nitty stuff on C# like how C# is compiled and compiled files get created and used under the hood. In particular, he wanted to know what advantages C# and ASP.NET offer over the old systems they have currently in place. I was overwhelmed and baffled by some of his questions.
To get prepared for our next meeting, I googled and still haven't found anything deep and thorough on C# such as compiler mechanics, .NET framework plumbing details from a surgeon's perspective.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
