There is not much to Code yourself. Netbeans does it for you. You can use the "Create Entity Beans From Database" and it generates everything you need.
Concerning Many -> One Relationships. If you have that relationship as a constraint (foreign key) in your database, then Netbeans will also generate the proper annotations.
