This exception occurs in the following cases :
    * InitialContaxt class didnt have default properties for JNDI provider
    * JNDI is not configured properly

 Please check your JNDI properties....

   see  http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/beyond/env/context.html

i think i have configured the JNDI  properly. i have attached bean code and client code and just highlighted the Initial cntext and jndi parts, so that its easy for u. please let me know if i am wrong or if i am missing something. i have even attached weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and ejb-jar.xml incase.

i just added the following context line in my client bean, and the error is gone

InitialContext ic = new InitialContext(prop); where prop is my env.

but now i am getting a new error

by: nag9s2007Posted on 2008-04-03 at 21:02:16ID: 21278995

Yes ..... SavingsAccountBeanBMP didnt linked to JNDI .... amke sure that it is having JNDI name and the same name is used .

by: gkmadhavPosted on 2008-04-04 at 04:49:55ID: 21280627

yeah i am sure the same name is used, i have even attached weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and client test case, so you can check it, i have highlighted the jndi part so it would be easy for u to identify.

by: nag9s2007Posted on 2008-04-08 at 21:25:11ID: 21311780

Once you deployed , check the Weblogic logs and console  whether the JNDI name is assigned correctly and whether the same is used in the client program

by: gkmadhavPosted on 2008-04-09 at 08:11:16ID: 21315756

i suppose by weblogic logs you mean weblogic-ejb-jar.xml. if so i have checked that and its exactly the same as in client program, if you want even you can check it out yourself in the prevoius comments where i attached both the files. for simplicity i have highted the jndi parts.

by: nag9s2007Posted on 2008-04-09 at 22:20:15ID: 21321883

no .. i means the log files where Weblogic will log (or it will console it )when a  j2ee app is deployed.
