How to get exception message from webflow2

I'm trying to get the message associated with an exception displayed in my JSP under webflow2. It looks like ${stateException.message} would do the trick, but it appears 'stateException' was available only in Webfow1 and not Webflow2. Am I correct?

If so, what is the mechanism for doing the same thing in Webflow2?

Also, is/was stateException only for Webflow exceptions or was it also available for business logic exceptions? I'm trying to catch an exception thrown in my java bean and displaying it on the JSP page.

ie

<view-state id="logon" ...>
   <transition on=".../>
   <transition on-exception="com.softechnics.softRetail.invalidLogon " to="logon">
      <set name="errorCode" value="2" />
   </transition>
</view-state>

logon.jsp:

....
<c:if test="${errorCode != null" >
   <Display the error message associated with the exception>
</c:if>
...

No, I'm not using validator. Our client is not an HTML/browser. It is a thick client reading XAML.

i think ur using JSP page thats y i suggest that <form:error>

if error is there or u will stored the erro means then only u will get the ${status.error}  in ur page .. .

Yes, I am. It is rendering XAML code, not HTML. But it is JSP. The form: tag must be defined in a taglib. Do you know where it is? It doesn't appear to be in a standard JSTL taglib.

${status.error} does not indicate an error. Apparently, WebFlow2 does not work nicely with Servlet/JSP. I'll need to research a different solution.
