Browse All TopicsI have a JSP page and have a field called 'Receipt No' which is manually entered. On clicking submit of the page, it checks in the database for a duplicate value and if there, returns to the same jsp page for the user to change the 'Receipt No' value. The problem I am having is that when doing so, I am losing all other values entered in the JSP. Am posting the code snippets I've used.

name="addDonationForm"
parameter="add"
scope="request"
input="/jsp/DonorAndDonati
<forward name="addDonation" path=".dms.dnd.addDonation
</action>
</action-mappings>
//Action class code below

ex.printStackTrace();
System.out.println("Except

{
request.setAttribute("dup_
AddDonationForm adForm = (AddDonationForm)form;
adForm.setAmount("400"); // Pls note that here I was just trying to set the amount value to 400 for testing purpose but was not coming in the page after the forward. Have tried with other fields also but in vain.
forward = "addDonation";
}
else
forward = "exception";
} catch (ParseException ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
forward = "exception";
}
return mapping.findForward(forwar
