Browse All TopicsI have a JSP/JSTL web application which interfaces with an Oracle database.
It does an large query that returns a few hundred rows of data. It takes a little time to do so because of joins.
If I want to do sorting on that data without redoing the Oracle query, what's the best way to do that without redoing the Oracle query with a sort.
That is while for each row of data returned, I store it in some kind or JSTL/Java/JSP structure. This structure can be easily sorted. Must be able to do date sorting.

you can use Collections.sort() to sort a list of beans, and a Comparator to control what field it is sorted on
