Browse All TopicsHi, my application has been sending emails but yesterday, it encountered an error when trying to send one:
javax.mail.MessagingExcept
at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTran
at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTran
at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTran
at com.jjcs.smtp.SimpleMail.S
The host is 192.168.5.23 and I can even telnet to 192.168.5.23 25 which gives me the following:
220 sapqa ESMTP Sendmail Tue, 3 Nov 2009 16:17:16 +0800
What is causing this error and how can I fix this? Thanks.

That's probably an error from sending on the next hop, not from connecting to the smtp server, so telnetting doesn't mean anything. Is it still happening?
