Web.xml url-mapping with similiar base

I don't have any of my references (in boxes in garage at moment) so hopefully I can get a quick answer here.
I am making a web.xml file for a pretty simple app, but I want to be able to differentiate which servlet to goto depending on a variable being passed. The idea is as follows, but only the view.View servlet gets any action after the modification.

      <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>view.OpenBets</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/view?sectionName=openBets*</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
      <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>view.View</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/view</url-pattern>
