hello

i want list of java standard class libraries that uses JNI internally.
and also tell me why to use JNI (native code) if java is so powerful language

And also tell me any third party open source libraries in java that uses JNI.

The JDK itself uses JNI. Java is a cross-platform language, running in an interpreter and thus has no knowledge of the underlying platform APIs. It is necessary sometimes to interact with the native platform, for example for networking and IO purposes. The File class and Socket class, for example, both use JNI to do so.

Any software that needs to interact with the native platform will need to use JNI at some level

can you plz give the example of IO or networking in which we have to use jni.I want just explanation no code.

If you look at the source for something like FileInputStream (see below) you will see there are many methods marked native, indicating JNI.

Libraries like jpcap (for packet inspection) will use JNI
