sun.misc.BASE64Decoder is Sun proprietary API warning

Hi ,
   I am running into the warning "sun.misc.BASE64Decoder is Sun proprietary API and may be removed in a future release " whenever I compile my code.Is there any other alternative API for this?

Many alternatives, but I wouldn't worry to much about the warning. If you've written your program using sun.misc.BASE64Decoder I would leave it like that. The class is present at least since the 1.1.8 JDK and is still not removed in Java 6.

Depends on who owns the licence. Java is becoming open source and any proprietary code is being replaced
