here is an answer I once posted :
1> create a tmp directory and put all your classses there.
2> create a manifest file, named manifest that
will containt the following line :
Main-Class: package.main_class
where package is the name of the package your main class resides in (if any) and main_class is the name of the class with the main function.
dont add ".class" to the end.
dont forget to put a newline (enter) after the class name.
at the directory below tmp type the following :
jar -cvfm tmp.jar manifest -C tmp\ .
(assuming you have jar in your path)
then all you need to do to run is indeed
java -jar tmp.jar

You need to provide a manifest file with a Main-Class attribute and create your jar file including that manifest
Like the following:
manifest.txt:
Main-Class: TestApp
Then create your jar like:
jar cmf manifest.txt Test.jar TestApp.class
