Browse All Topicsi have made a dom and made a Jtree to show the nodes of the xml document. I have a selection listener which gives the node of the tree when it is selected. The node selected is given in the form of a Object. I want to get the node as in the form of the Node or Element as described in the Java API for XML. So what some sujjestions that how i can get the selected node in the form that i can apply elemnt.appendChild(node) or node.appendChild(node) methods on the selected node. An urgent reply is requested.

You can create a javax.swing.tree.DefaultMu tableTreeN ode for each treenode. The TreeNode will contains an XML element inside. When you get the selected TreeNode, you can always extract the XML element from it with method getUserObject().
To append a child to a node, just create a DefaultMutableTreeNode for that child and append to the DefaultMutableTreeNode of the parent.
