Linked list.

I am having some problems understanding data structures specifically linked list.


I need to read in a file that contains ( first name, last name and five grades and the avg of the grades)

I know the reading of the file part and all the info needs to be in one linked list but a different node for each student and i was wondering on how to implement the Linked list so that each node could contain the correct data.

Make 'Student' objects. Add each object to a java.util.LinkedList.

You'd make a 'Student' class. See if you can find some good introductory OOP tutorials.

You'd have a separate accessor/mutator (get/set) for each field

...and the access should be private rather than public

right i was just posting a short excerpt.  just wanting to make sure i am on the right path. dont want to code a 1000 lines when 50 will suffice
