How can I use typeof in Java to test an object ?
Hello,
I'm using this code fragment to test if an object in a Vector is a double before I access it...
bisNumber = true;
try { testDouble = Double.parseDouble ( ( prices.elementAt(3) ) }
catch(NumberFormatExceptio
if (bisNumber) {
double candidate = Double.parseDouble ( prices.elementAt(3) );
mCashflows.add( i, new Double( candidate ));
}
else {
mCashflows.add( i, new String("Error"));
}
What I really want to do is something like
if ( typeof ( prices.elementAt(3) )== float ) {
mCashflows.add( i, prices.elementAt(3));
}
else {
mCashflows.add( i, new String("Error"));
}
How do I use typeof in Java ?
