Locate your Temp folder (see your Windows Help for the location of your Temp environment variable). Usually it is located in your Windows or WinNT folder. Delete all the files in your Temp folder and then try to install again.
I actually found this solution by searching for "Error Reading Setup Initialization File" in Google!

MMmmm...
6-p.exe just yesterday on Windows 2000 and had no problem whatsoever. I also installed it in Windows XP pro without a hitch. Are you logged in as Administrator?
