JAVA : Converting XML document to a Java String

hi

i have an XML file (Order.xml ) and i need to convert it into Java String. can anybody suggest me how to do this: a snippest of code would be nice.

to goto a string replace that with:

StringWriter out = new StringWriter();
Result result = new StreamResult(file);

then to get the string use:

String s = out.toString();

JDOM (www.jdom.org) and Castor (http://www.castor.org/xml-framework.html) can do this really easily for you.. Why do you need to convert it to a string?  Just for printing? Storage? Manipulation?

Using Dom4j available from www.dom4j.org you can easily do this.

Here is the code

DocumentFactory mFactory = DocumentFactory.getInstance();
Document mDocument= mFactory.createDocument();
File mFile = new File("Order.xml");
SAXReader xmlReader = new SAXReader();
mDocument = xmlReader.read(mFile);
String myXml = mDocument.asXml();
