SSL certification path problems

Hi,
  I have this simple app:

import javax.net.ssl.*;

      HttpsURLConnection c = (HttpsURLConnection)url.openConnection();

      c.disconnect();
    } catch (Exception exception) {

}

But when I try to run I get an exception:

What should I do to make it disappear?

I'd also appreciate if someone can provide me with a FULL tutorial on using ssl with java. Also some tutorial on cookies.

you have to load the System properties.

How do I create that keyStore then. And if I create it, will I be able to access all https sites or only the specific ones?

Thanks for the book, but I couldn't find even mentioning of a class HttpsURLConnection. I'm writing this app using j2se, it will be a client app connecting to a server and sending current state of a user through secured connection using cookies...

Hey ,

As i understand since u need to post data to a URL or server using HTTP and HTTPS, you can use httpclient helper util from http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/httpclient/.

They also have support for HTTPS.

You create a keystore to first generate a keypair for the client you are running. You will be able to access any HTTPS site with the key pair you generated, except which require client certificate validation. The client certificate validation is not common phenonmenon so you needn't worry.

You can read through the httpclient project and use it for any post or get method to any site.

Let's say this question is closed, though I have a lot of problems when trying to send a file to internet.

I'm using HttpClient as Anthony suggested, but still it doesn't work.

So now I'm posting a new question, and expect Your profesional comments :)
