Trying to recognise RSS feed from html's anchor tag

  Hi, I am trying to write a Java application to extract the url of all the links
contained in a particular html file, and within these extracted links, I need to recognise which of these are RSS feeds.
so I have two questions here

1) Is there any method in JAVA I can use that will take the URL as its parameter and returns all the links associated with the parameter's html file?

2) Within these links, is there any mechanism to determin whether it is an RSS feed other than checking the file format? Because some RSS feed do not have .rss as its file format.

use httpunit for getting the weppage and parsing links

use the getLinks() method of  Class com.meterware.httpunit.WebResponse to get all the links in the page
and then use the open source RSS parser "Informa" to
see if its an RSS feed.

you could also use HTMLEditorKit to get the links from the html page:

http://javaalmanac.com/egs/javax.swing.text.html/GetLinks.html
