Getting an org.hibernate.MappingException: Unknown entity: error

I am building this reusable component for a project it's basically a panel that retains all the search criteria and retrieves data to my tables for display to the user.

The problem is that when i use it with hibernate i need to pass some parameters to it and I am not sure if i am passing the class to the session.createCriteria() method correctly.

I am passing the class and the hibernate configuration as strings through this method
    public void setHibernateConfig(String hibernateClass, String hibernateConfigFile){
        this.hibernateClass = hibernateClass;
        this.hibernateConfigFile = hibernateConfigFile;
    }
   
Later I run this method to fill a QuickTable grid the error shows up on the line List products = crit.list() when hibernate tries to retrieve the data from the database.

            SessionFactory sessionFactory = new Configuration().configure(hibernateConfigFile).buildSessionFactory();
            Session session = null;
            session = sessionFactory.openSession();
            Criteria crit = session.createCriteria(this.hibernateClass);
         
            crit = sParamLst.getCriteria(crit);
            List products = crit.list();
           
            int size = products.size();
            dBTble.refreshDataObject(products, null);
        }catch(Exception e){
            System.err.println("Zee3Inventory.common.ProdSrchPnl.fillDataTable():" + e.toString());
            e.printStackTrace();
        }
    }

I tried to pass the string for the class both like this "order_mod.Onorder.class" and as "\\order_mod\\Onorder.class" neither of these worked. not to say this is the error but that's what it seemed like to me.
