How to access to google maps API from java application?
I am working on Java application, J2ee, (struts, Hibernate), when user enter the location at "add my location",
right now, the user can enter any city the application currently will take whatever the entry and save it into our database, now i need to validate the entry, if the user enters invalid city, the application should give message
saying it is invalid city, and not allow the user to add.
How do I access to google maps API to do the vilidation? (I am at struts action class, in java, i can capture what the user entered)

Hi Bazarny,
Thank you for your response. Maybe in GClientGeocoder getLocations() , or (Geocode) it returns some code status saying the city is unknown? all I want to know given city (/with state) is existing or unknown, in our application if it valid city, we allow the user save the entered city into our database, otherwise give the user a message say the city entered is not found, something like that.
