Trying to develop HTTPS Post procedure

I am trying to build an HTTP Post function that will take several parameters and push xml to a server for processing. The server requires SSL but does not use a trusted certificate provider. When I attempt to execute I get an "unable to find valid certification path to requested target".
 Is there a way to get around this?

The errors I received are as follows:
