FUN: How to turn List of Strings containing numbers into Integer[] in one swell foop?

Dear Experts,

Given a List containing "1", "456", "9999", how do I turn that into an Integer array in a single statement?

I tried:

  Integer[] myInts = (Integer[]) myList.toArray();

but I get a classCastException at runtime.
