We are a small organization. We have a small Java application which we use internally. What we need is that when some operation is performed by some user using that application, an email is send to the customer using Java mail API about the status of his work.

I have the code which is used to send an email. But that code requires an SMTP address. Are there any freely available SMTP servers that we can use for this. Or do we need to buy an SMTP server.

If that is your SMTP server used for sending outgoing mail from your email client, then likely the relay denied error is because you are not authenticating in Javamail. Add the auth support (login/password) to the call and it should work.

It's easier to authenticate with Transport actually:

Transport transport = session.getTransport("smtp");
transport.connect(host, username, password);

Hi anshu,

Try by using localhost for sending emails. If it doesn't work on your server then you need to buy an email client.

Try the below one...
