There are 5 pirates ranking from 5 ( highest rank) to 1 ( lowest rank). The higher rank pirates always have the right to propose how to allocate gold, but he will get killed if less than 50% vote favors him. The answer is: how should each pirate propose to allocate gold.

Start by looking at how this would work if there were only 2 pirates and how the gold should be allocated, then expand to 3 and so on.

From a programming perspective / concepts, since you have to rank (order) Pirate objects based on same field holding their ranking (possibly their current percentage of total gold), then you will probably looking at an implementation of Comparable meaning pirate1.compareTo(piratex) to figure out if higher or lower ranked or equal.

I would suggest that you solve this on paper and write the pseudo code for this. Once you have that in place you will be able to write the program easily. If you need help then post questions.
