Can I force org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser to use Firefox?

Hi. I'm using Windows XP,
and develop a Java program using org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser.

In normal, the Browser class uses Internet Explorer as a rendering engine
(I checked it by showing User-Agent).
I want to force the class to use Firefox.

I changed Windows default browser to Firefox, but it had no effect.
I changed the Browser's constructor argument SWT.NONE to SWT.MOZZILA,
but I got following Exception message.

Exception in thread "main" org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles [Could not detect registered XULRunner to use]
at org.eclipse.swt.SWT.error(SWT.java:3910)
at org.eclipse.swt.browser.Mozilla.create(Mozilla.java:471)
at org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser.<init>(Browser.java:119)

Can I do it at all? Someone please help.

Hi arioh, I've installed it.
Now  I get following User-Agent at SWT.MOZILLA, no error occurred.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko

But my Firefox User-Agent is following.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; ja; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

and I still get IE's User-Agent at SWT.NONE...

It would be tricky to force the Browser object to use MOZILLA without the SWT.MOZILLA flag. This is because by default it will only use the Firefox engine if the SWT.MOZILLA flag is passed.

In order to change it so every program always used MOZILLA no matter what, you would have to modify the source of the org.eclipse.swt.browser.Browser and then recomiple it and replace your modified class file with the one in their swt.jar file.

Mmm.... You mean if I pass SWT.MOZILLA to the Browser object, it uses Firefox engine?
I guess the object uses XULRunner's one.

Anyway if I want to force the behavior, I need to modify the source of SWT.
That exceeds my capacity...

Exactly. In your own programs you can recommend it to always use the XULRunner. But to force every Java SWT program to use XULRunner you would need to modify the source of SWT.
