How to get SMP ( multi-processor) support of lex grammar generated C code?

I want to port the lex grammar generated C code in to SMP ( multi-processor) machine. But now the C code generated from lex grammar has many global variables. SMP overwrite values in global variables. How to make this work currectly in SMP.
