delphi service running fine in XP, do not work on Vista

Hello experts
I have made a simple service using delphi whose goal is simply to RUN another program (infact an autorun but without using the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or other key

Works fin with XP but give:
Error 5 : access denied
when trying to mauch it

I have disable the user control with Vista.
What can it be ?
Any idea on how to maunch a program at the start WITHOUT using
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or placing it in the startup menu ?
(this program must be run BEFORE loading programs  : so I thought about using a service to mauch it)
mayve there is another way to do it (VISTA COMPATIBLE)

your problem is maybe the use has to havbe admin privilegess

1) the user is ADMIN
2) these programs are TOO EXPENSIVE: more than 990us$ for OEM : I cannot affor it

Hi, try to add you program to followings keys:

HKLM \ SOFTWARE \ MICROSOFT \ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ Userinit

HKLM \ SOFTWARE \ MICROSOFT \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ Shell

Both of them runs before HKU\... run || runonce

did you enable the "Service may interact with the desktop"?

You can find it when you go to start -> run -> services.msc
Double click on the service.
Then go to the tab "Logon".
Under Local-System account there is the option "Service may interact with the desktop".

Check that you are not  installing your service in Program Files or Windows
Try
c:\Programs\Myservice
