Question

Showing Dialog After Applications ends

I wrote the following Delphi code to show a message AFTER the application has finished its Run procedure. But when I run it, it simply does not show the dialog.

Any Ideas?

When the application finishes after Application.Run, the terminate property is set to true. After that all forms will end their messageloop.

So when a form is showed they will receive their first messages and handle them. But as soon as they enter idle state they closes because the loop is ended.

Only windows specific windows like messagebox will be displayed because they uses their own messageloop

you need to start a dialog when closing the main form in the oncloseQuery
this is not a good idea ...

but here is a sample:

Actually you can put your dialog in the OnCloseQuery
 event of your main dialog, just make sure to set CanClose := true, so that your main form will close nicely.
