Some posts on the newsgroups aren't sure if you can get it to run on 64bit Vista Windows 2007 -- however there seem to be posts saying it worked for XP 64-bit.
According to this post here
http://episteme.arstechnic a.com/eve/ forums/a/t pc/f/ 63309 27813/m/24 1003513931
"While you can't install the BDE on a 64 bits machine, you can perfectly well simply copy the dlls from another install into the application folder and it will work like a charm. Same goes for the configuration utility which will let you setup databases aliases."
Other posts on this newsgroup roup/borla nd.public. bde/browse _thread/th read/d929a 589dd2aefd 4/8d19c678 a75e8bb1?l nk=raot&pl i=1 on that the BDE could work on XP 64-bit, and the BDE can work in Vista with some headaches (see below). There was one suggestion to use Virtual Machine and use XP and install it on there.

How to get it to work in Vista:
1) Install outside of the Program Files folder if at all possible, if not
2) In the options inside the BDE administrator, get it to run in "Windows 3.1" compatability mode - which stores settings in an INI file instead of the registry.
Good luck!
