Asked by Roadrunner in Delphi Programming, Delphi Database, MySQL Server
Hello!
I was forced to extend an existing program to support MySQL. Some of the data entry forms use TQuery with TUpdateSQL. This works all right as long as some values have been changed, but if nothing was changed and TQuery.ApplyUpdates is called I get an error "Updates failed" (original "Aktualisierung misslungen").
Any idea why this happens?
Is there some setting in the BDE or in MySQL that will fix this problem?
I could of course check, if there are any modifications and call Cancel instead of ApplyUpdates if there arn't any, but that just removes the symptom.
Thanks a lot, Guido
