How to retrieve application version

How does this tie in with the CIL architecture of a .NET application - the EXE's are fundamentally different aren't they?

While the internals of an exe can vary wildly, there is a certain set of information that is common to any windows executable.  I would expect the version info to work the same.  If you are trying to read this information in a Win32 based delphi application (reading any exe version) check out this link.

If you would prefer to do it from .NET you can interface to the same windows function(s), but it may then view your code as "unsafe".  If you need, I can see about a .NET friendly version.

Thanks for these suggestions, but the code isn't .NET compatible.

Pointers are a big no-no as is GetMem/FreeMem - this is why I'm looking for .NET equivalent.

I found the solution to this - it's quite simple which is unusual for .NET, so if anyone's interested :-
