Question

Have you noticed how much harder the questions are?

It's been a while since I've had much time to look at Experts Exchange, and one thing I've noticed is how much HARDER the questions have become.

There used to be lots of questions that I could answer off the top of my head, but now they are the sort of things where I'd have to go and dig up some old source code, or actually write something to give a decent answer.

I guess it's a good thing. It means that the Delphi community is getting smarter, and taking on bigger challenges.

But I have to wonder, does it also mean there are lots of newbies out there who've not heard of EE?  Or are they just too afraid to ask the "simple" questions?

Okay, so this isn't really a question, but I just thought I'd make an observation.

Anyone else want to comment?

as the amung of questions asked and answered increases, the amung of answers that could possibly satisfy the forthcoming people with problems increases, hence the amung of simple or previously asked questions goes dung and the evolution and upcoming of tougher questions increases.

Let A = amung of questions asked, B = answered questions, C = simple questions, D = tough questions & E = Possibility of a problem's answer being found.

E = kB
B = kA
hence, E = zA

C = k / B
D = k / C
hence, D = yB

As the possibility of a problem's solution being found in the website is directly proportional to the amung of questions asked. The amung of hard questions is directly proportional to the amung of answered questions.

Conkoosion : The more questions we ask and answer, the more tough questions we might have and will have.

Hamlet, you're right. As a result for me I don't answer those "please-give-me-a-full-source-code-for-this-very-difficult-problem-for-just-50-points"-questions anymore.
I'm looking only into really mega-hard questions now - and only when they offer enough points...   (-:
