Maybe you'll find a better tool there.

I am a delphi 6 programmer, but at this time I will ask some solution of Wise Installation problem that I encountered.
Inside the Wise Installation Tool, there's a line "D:\UpdatedMDOInstaller\MD
Replace Existing File: Check File
File Version : Same or Older
File Date/Time : Doesn't matter
But I got this error during compilation:
Error: File does not contain versioin source.
How can I get this error?
Please help. Thanks

you're right, it's a textfile.
actually my concern is this, first it will check for file "update.flg", if doesnot exists on that target folder, then it will create a new update.flg.
Is there anyway on doing this?

Can't remember to well, its a while since I used Wise..
If I understand you correctly, then if the update.flg already exists then you want to leave it in place other wise copy one in.
One way would be to create you update.flg with an old date in it say 1/1/2000 i.e. before anty of the users update.flg could have been created and then use Same or Older.
No comment has been added to this question in more than 21 days, so it is now classified as abandoned.

I would gues because the file update.flg is a simple file i.e. text or binary that does not have version control.
i.e. most exe's have a version burnt into them, but if you look at the version of a .txt file there is no version.
Remove the File version check and set the File Date/Time to newer
