How can I use scanner from delphi application?

I want to scan documents from delphi applecation that will scan documents and save them in a file. I am using delphi code gear 2009.

How can I know if the device is a TWAIN or not?

It's been a few years since I've dealt with scanning devices so I don't know what the most current state of the technology is. When I was working with it almost all scanners were TWAIN. So with that in mind... To my knowledge, if your imaging software has an Acquire option then it is probably TWAIN.

I used Skytools ImageLib (http://skylinetools.com/imagelib/index.html) to handle my scanning needs. It's not cheap but it works pretty well and saved me a lot of time so I though it was worth it.

You can try Delphi Twain by Gustavo Daud, I think.
