The fastest way to download a web page is using the TWebBrowser control, place it on the form and put a button with the following code:

procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin
  WebBrowser1.Navigate('www.experts-exchange.com');// or the website you want
end;

It will download the page as fast as possible, without needing to search all its content

That would download the image and flash files as well. I just need the text.

Thanks.

Using Indy:

uses IdHTTP;
....

implementation

procedure TForm2.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
var Src: string;
    HTTP: TIdHTTP;
begin
    Memo1.Text := '';
    HTTP := TidHTTP.Create(Application);
    Src := HTTP.Get(Edit1.Text);
    Memo1.Text := src;
    HTTP.Free;
end;

What about using 'URLDownloadToFile()' (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms775123(VS.85).aspx)? E.g.

UrlDownloadToFile(nil, PChar(myURL), PChar(Target), 0, nil);

Yes, that's one of the solutions....
Problem is that everytime I try saving source code via IdHTTP or UrlDownloadToFile, it doesn't save all the source, I get only 1/4 of source....

This has solved my problem:

actually the fastest way (if you have access to the server)
zip the files on the server
and then get them via ftp
and then unzip local

would reduce the (slow) network traffic, which is obviously the problem ...

This is really how you should be using the Indy HTTP control to download those files.
This is tested.
Let it be known that the Indy controls are blocking and the application won't respond
until the loop is finished. If you want to give the user the possibility to cancel, let me
know and I'll fix it.

procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
var
  Src: string;
  idHttp1: TIdHTTP;
  i: Integer;
  ss: TStringStream;
  fs: TFileStream;
begin
  idHttp1 := TidHTTP.Create(Application);
  try
    for i := 0 to 5 do
    begin
      ss := TStringStream.Create(idHttp1.Get('http://somedomain.com/post.php?id='+ IntToStr(i)));
      try
        ss.Position := 0;
        fs := TFileStream.Create('c:\File' + IntToStr(i) + '.html', fmCreate);
        try
          fs.CopyFrom(ss, ss.Size);
        finally
          fs.Free;
        end;
      finally
        ss.Free;
      end;
    end;
  finally
    idHttp1.Free;
  end;
end;

You could use one of these.

GetPage also returns the source:

uses
  WinINet;

procedure GetPage(sURL: string; var Page: string);
const
  BufferSize = 1024;
  FileName   = 'GetPage.tmp';
var
  hSession, hURL: HInternet;
  Buffer: array[1..BufferSize] of Byte;
  BufferLen: DWORD;
  f: File;
  sAppName: string;
begin
  sAppName := ExtractFileName(Application.ExeName) ;
  hSession := InternetOpen(PChar(sAppName), INTERNET_OPEN_TYPE_PRECONFIG, nil, nil, 0) ;
  try
    hURL := InternetOpenURL(hSession, PChar(sURL), nil, 0, 0, 0) ;
    try
      AssignFile(f, FileName);
      Rewrite(f,1);
      repeat
        InternetReadFile(hURL, @Buffer, SizeOf(Buffer), BufferLen);
        BlockWrite(f, Buffer, BufferLen);
      until BufferLen = 0;
      CloseFile(f);
    finally
      InternetCloseHandle(hURL);
    end;
  finally
    InternetCloseHandle(hSession);
  end;
  with TStringList.Create do
  try
    LoadFromFile('GetPage.tmp');
    Page := Text;
  finally
    Free;
    DeleteFile(PChar('GetPage.tmp'));
  end;
end;

procedure DownloadFile(sURL, FileName: string);
