You don't have to pay for it. It is free. Once downloaded you may have to use an uncompression to extract it (use Winzip) and then run the install program.

Browse All TopicsHello,
I'm just learning Turbo Pascal(4.0) in school ,and I'm having some trouble figuring out all these compilers for download on the internet. They say they are free to download and use, but do you have to go and actually buy the Pascal Software and then download the compiler?
I'm doing a distance learning course that deals with Pascal and it would be great to do my assignments at home to catch up, I just don't want to go out and buy Pascal.
I tried to download it on my computer but nothing happened, so I'm sort of confused about the whole process of downloading and such.....also...
I'm a new user to experts-exchange, so can you explain these question points and how that works? Am I limited to the number of questions I can ask?
Thanks a lot.
Marc~

First the EE question: You can ask so many questions till your points are zero. Every day you logged in you get 5 points.
The TP question: Go to http://www.borland.com and than into the museum. There you can find TP 5.5.
If you want a higher version, like TP and BP 7.0, mail me at tds@schandog.de.
Bye, TDS.
